People just
like us.
And that’s probably because we like people. We indulge them, we put them in touch, we entertain them. We are simply passionate hosts. And we always have been. The Quartier am Bauernstadl allows us to take our approach to the next level.

And that’s probably because we like people. We indulge them, we put them in touch, we entertain them. We are simply passionate hosts. And we always have been. The Quartier am Bauernstadl allows us to take our approach to the next level.
It began with a
sausage stand.
Before the Quartier, there was the Bauernstadl. A concept devised by Hans Trummer as far back as 1994, offering local farmers and producers the opportunity to supply him with goods. Initially at a market stall, then later in a small shop in the Altstadtpassage in Feldbach – where his wife, Sonja, worked energetically alongside him and where his son, David, and his daughter, Lisa, spent a large part of their childhood and youth.
to the market:
»I always liked being around people, and I turned that into my job. There’s nothing I like better than being a host.«

No sooner said than done.
In November 2014, the Bauernstadl moved into its modern premises on Bürgergasse and gradually expanded to become Austria’s biggest regional market – back then under the management of Hans and Lisa. Three days after completing his school leaving examination, David took over the business from his father and since then has managed the regional market alongside his sister. And now they’re expanding upwards with the Quartier am Bauernstadl.
It is probably the combination of conviviality and industriousness that makes the Trummer family so special. Always being there for people, giving customers good advice and viewing suppliers as friends. The logical extension of their hospitality was to expand the Bauernstadl to include apartments. Because if the Bauernstadl already has everything you need to make you happy, why wouldn’t you live right there?
Family ties are also the basis of the Quartier am Bauernstadl. David is the man of action, who also likes to get in among his guests now and then. Lisa is the organiser, keeping David in line and staying in the background, running the shop.
Their mother, Sonja, is the acknowledged allknowing heart and soul of Bauernstadl. And their father, Hans, who also runs the family’s cattle farm, is the craftsman, the one who makes sure that everything is running as it ought to.
The Quartier am Bauernstadl is like the Trummer family itself: contemporary and forwardlooking, and yet dedicated to Styrian conviviality.
Because anyone who gets a lot done has certainly earned the occasional glass of wine.
